2024 Korean Culture Festival

DATE
2024-08-07

Our embassy is delighted to announce the Korean Culture Festival, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 10:00 AM at Transformatorhuis in Westerpark, Amsterdam. This event promises a rich and diverse experience of Korean culture, in partnership with the 'Jeollabuk-do Public Diplomacy Festival.'

The festival has two main sessions. The first session, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, will feature a market showcasing Korean products such as food, cosmetics, and K-POP merchandise. Attendees can also take part in traditional cultural experience programs, including Korean food demonstrations (Tteokbokki, Bibimbap), Hanbok try-on, Hanji crafts, and calligraphy workshops. Additionally, there will be an exhibition of traditional crafts.

Moreover, winners of the preliminary round of the K-POP World Festival held in the Netherlands will put on a K-POP performance.

The second session, starting at 5:00 PM, will include high-quality traditional cultural performances by the Jeollabuk-do Provincial Institute for Korean Traditional Performing Arts and other performance groups. The performances will include Pansori, fan dance, Samulnori, creative dance, and more.
